Cloth Diapering for Beginners

This class is for the parents who don’t want to send 3,000 diapers to the landfill PER kid (and that’s just the diaper usage stat for year #1!)… the parents who don’t want to spend upwards of $1,000 per YEAR on diapers PER kid…and the parents who don’t want their babies wrapped in chemical-filled plastic diapers.

We talk all about…

  • The best cloth diapers to prevent leaks

  • How many diapers & covers you’ll need for each stage & age

  • How to use cloth diapers on-the-go, at daycare, at night, and more!

Infant Pottying (Elimination Communication - EC)

Did you know that babies can use the potty as soon as they’re born? Or that babies all around the world are out of diapers between 12 and 18 months? It’s true! With a practice known as elimination communication (EC), parents are able to learn how to read the signs and signals from their babies, even newborns, and help them use the potty instead of a diaper as their main toilet.

» Here’s Brandy with her 6 week old who is going pee and poop on his infant potty!

In Brandy’s signature Infant Pottying (EC) class, we will explore:

  • The history & foundations of elimination communication - aka EC - aka infant pottying

  • Why EC is NOT potty training (Brandy’s kids have never been potty trained and were fully potty independent by age two)

  • How to get started with EC with your newborn or baby

  • Supplies you’ll need to practice infant pottying

  • How & when to use diapers as a backup

  • Pottying your baby on-the-go

  • How to wrap up EC and ditch diapers early

What Sets Us Apart

Respecting The Planet

Every diaper that has ever been used since the very first diaper ever put on a baby is in a landfill somewhere filled with human waste to this day. We can do better. Our planet deserves better. Parenting is inexplicably hard & demanding, but we owe it to our planet - and most importantly to our children - to keep our Earth from being overrun with sh*tty diapers. That’s why we offer classes to make using cloth diapers and infant pottying easy, accessible, and affordable… because our planet needs us to do better.

Honoring Baby’s Instincts

Babies, like all animals, were never designed to pee & poop on themselves. They weren’t designed to sit in their own refuse. Like adults and every other animal, babies’ instincts are to be dry, clean, and far away from their waste. Learning how to offer your infant a potty rather than forcing them to pee & poop in a diaper honors their innate instincts and desires for cleanliness and comfort.

Ancient Practices with a Modern Twist

We’re not reinventing the wheel here. Cloth diapering is the original form of diapering and offering babies the opportunity to not soil on themselves either with a potty/container or onto the ground has been a practice since the beginning of human existence. We aspire to revive these ancient, intentional ways of parenting while honoring the demands of our modern lives.
